OXFORD — Hueston Woods Arts and Crafts Fair organizers are getting ready for the June 13-14 event and plan to make the Golden Anniversary celebration as special as they can for vendors, volunteers and visitors.
“It’s a rain or shine event, hopefully a shine or shine event,” coordinator Bob Carmean said with a smile.
The annual event is sponsored by the Oxford Museum Association and held on the grounds of the Pioneer Farm, 6924 Brown Road, on the edge of Hueston Woods, adjacent to the golf course.
Regional artists and crafters are welcome, and the annual event draws from a wide area.
American Agri-Women (AAW) will kick off a yearlong 40th anniversary celebration at its annual convention held this year at Hueston Woods Lodge & Convention Center, College Corner, Ohio, Nov. 6-8.
The Ohio Agri-Women affiliate is hosting this year’s convention, with the theme “Bridging the Path from Farm to Fork.”
Hueston Woods State Park Lodge received the "Service Excellence" Award for their work in 2012. The award is based on customer satisfaction surveys and is given annually to individual parks in recognition of outstanding facilities.
Congratulations Hueston Woods State Park Lodge!!!
Have you ever wondered how to make Maple syrup?
Great news! This weekend, the Maple Syrup Festival will be continuing to showcase the process of how Maple syrup is made in the beautiful Hueston Woods State Park. Come alone or bring the family. Either way there will be a pancake feed on Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. ($5 for 10 and younger and $6 adults). Afterwards, enjoy a hayride or take a tour that will show you the steps to making maple syrup with a taste test at the end.
