HUESTON WOODS STATE PARK

Friday, Mar. 4th  8PM Maple Syrup Night Hike - Meet at the Blue Heron Trailhead for a guided walk through an “old growth” forest after sunset.  We will try to call in some owls and explore maple syrup production as we make our way to the sugarhouse.

50th Annual Maple Syrup Festival
March 5-6 & 12-13

Pancake Breakfast at the Lodge
8AM-1PM
$6 for adults and $5 for children (10 and under).

Maple Syrup Tours
Noon-4PM
Begin with a hay ride at the Pioneer Farm on Brown Rd. next to the Golf Course.  Enjoy a hike through the “Big Woods”, a designated State Nature Preserve, and learn the art of maple syrup production as well as the cultural and natural history of the area. 

No dogs or other pets allowed on the tour.

Food, beverages and maple syrup will be on sale throughout the day.


Saturday, Mar. 26th  11AM Wildlife Invasion - Meet at the Lodge for a look at some of Ohio’s wild animals.
2PM Wild Cat – Meet at the Nature Center to watch the resident puma enjoy his lunch.

Sunday, Mar. 27th  11AM Morning Hike – Meet at the Nature Center for a hike thru a scenic area of Hueston Woods.  Please wear appropriate footwear.  Bring your vehicle; we will drive to the trailhead.
2PM Reptile Show - Meet at the Nature Center to see some of our scaly residents.
